Optional: Eine integrierte kontinuierliche Waage zur Duchsatzmessung. Die VIB-MMS© besteht optional aus vier Modulen, die je nach Bedarf auch einzeln eingebaut werden.

FUNKTION

[KG/H] DURCHSATZMESSUNG = VIB-SMW© ODER VIB-TS

Die VIB-SMW© Durchsatzmessung ist ein präzises sehr robustes kontinuierliches Schüttgutmesssystem aus V2A für bis zu 50T/Std. Durchsatz mit einer Genauigkeit von bis zu 0.2%*. Die Waage hat eine sehr geringe Einbauhöhe und ist aufgrund keiner beweglichen mechanischen Teile sehr wartungsarm.

Der Durchsatzsensor VIB-TS© ist bei Installation zusammen mit einem vibronet® Vibrationsnetzer eine kostengünstige und platzsparende Alternative. Der Sensor wird zur Volumendurchsatzmessung direkt an der Austragseinheit des Netzers montiert und benötigt keinen zusätzlichen Raum oder Wartung.

[H2O%] FEUCHTEMESSUNG = VIB-MESSEINHEIT

Die Feuchtemessstrecke ist ein sehr kompakter und robuster V2A-Messschacht. Sie misst kontinuierlich und präzise Produktfeuchte [%], Temperatur [°C] und Hektolitergewicht [kg/hl] aller frei fließenden Körner, Granulate und Hülsenfrüchte. Die Messstrecke wird vor dem Vibrationsnetzer® oder jedem anderen Netzapparat installiert.

Die mehrsprachige SIEMENS Steuerung mit Farb-Touchscreen und einfachster Menüführung errechnet die notwendige Wasser-/ Flüssigkeitszugabemenge, um die gewünschte Soll-Feuchte zu erhalten. Anzeige und Berechnung von:

[+H2O] WASSERDOSIERUNG = VIB-DOSIEREINHEIT

Die Wasserdosiereinheit fügt die errechnete Flüssigkeitsmenge direkt in den Vormischer des Vibrationsnetzers® oder in jeden anderen Netzapparat. Sie kann im Automatikmodus oder manuell bedient werden. Für alle löslichen Flüssigkeiten. Auch ohne Gehäuse als VIB-ECONO© , mit Heizung und als PVC-Version erhältlich.

Bei Montage zusammen mit einem Vibrationsnetzer vibronet®, wird die Wasserdosierung platzsparend in die Wasserverteilung des Netzers integriert.

What is the VIB-MMS® and what does it do?

VIB-MMS® is an automatic moisture control and water dosage device for all free flowing cereals and pulses. Its purpose is to ensure a constant and uniform moisture level in grains and end products for optimal plant performance. An integrated continuous flow metering system for throughput measurement is available as an optional addition.

What are the main components of the VIB-MMS® system?

The VIB-MMS® consists of four modular robust components: a scale (throughput measurement unit), a moisture measuring unit, a control panel, and a water dosage unit. This modular design allows the system to be configured and expanded according to individual plant requirements.

Which products can be processed with VIB-MMS®?

VIB-MMS® is suitable for all dry, cleaned, aspirated, free flowing granular products including cereals and pulses. Typical applications include wheat, rye, barley, oats, corn, spelt, malt, chickpeas and similar granular materials.

How does VIB-MMS® measure throughput?

Throughput measurement is handled by one of two options. The VIB-SMW® is a robust continuous stainless steel impact weigher for free flowing bulk materials with throughputs up to 50 tph. It has a very low overall height, is maintenance-free due to no loose or moving parts, and offers a high measurement accuracy of ±0.2%. The alternative VIB-TS® is a space-saving and cost-effective volumetric throughput control unit. When installed together with a vibronet® vibration dampener, the VIB-TS® sensor mounts directly to the discharge unit of the dampener, requiring no extra space or maintenance.

What does the VIB-MMS® moisture measuring unit measure?

The stainless steel measuring unit continuously measures three product parameters: moisture content [%], temperature [°C] and hectoliter weight (bulk density) [kg/hl]. It is suitable for all free flowing granular materials such as cereals, pulses and similar products. The measuring unit is installed in front of the vibration dampener or any other dampening system and is of compact and robust construction.

What does the VIB-MMS® control panel display and calculate?

The Siemens-powered control panel with colour touchscreen calculates the necessary water addition required to reach the desired target moisture. It displays: currently selected product (up to 10 products), actual and target moisture [H₂O%], actual and target water [l/h], actual hectoliter weight [kg/hl], actual product temperature [°C], actual water totalizing counter [m³], throughput [kg/h], throughput counter with pre-selection and totalizing, alarm and pre-alarm status with delay timer, 72-hour graphic visualization, analogue and impulse output, and supports both automatic and manual water dosage operation.

How does the VIB-MMS® water dosage unit work?

The water dosage cabinet doses the precisely calculated liquid quantity directly into the vibronet® vibration dampener or any other dampening system. It can be operated in automatic or manual mode. It is available with integrated heating and in a PVC version for water with soluble additives. A manual water dosage unit without housing (VIB-ECONO®) is also available. When mounted together with a vibronet® dampener, the water dosage unit integrates space-savingly and cost-effectively into the vibronet® water distribution unit.

What dosing medium does VIB-MMS® support?

VIB-MMS® supports water (filtered) as well as water with soluble additives as the dosing medium. A special version is available for water with corrosive additives. All liquid quantities are precisely calculated and automatically dosed based on the measured initial moisture and the set target moisture.

What are the main advantages of VIB-MMS®?

VIB-MMS® offers six core advantages: accurate detection of initial moisture content; precise automatic water dosage; exact hectoliter weight (specific weight) measurement; rigorous flow metering of throughput rate; compact and robust design; and compatibility with all dry and free flowing cereals, pulses and granular products.

How many products can VIB-MMS® manage simultaneously?

VIB-MMS® supports recipe management for up to 10 products. Each product has its own product-specific calibration. The currently selected product is always displayed on the control panel touchscreen, enabling fast and reliable product changeovers.

What is the throughput measurement accuracy of the VIB-SMW® scale?

The VIB-SMW® continuous stainless steel impact weigher achieves a high measurement accuracy of ±0.2%. It handles throughputs up to 50 tph, has a very low overall height, and is maintenance-free due to the absence of any loose or moving parts.

What are the dimensions of the VIB-MMS® measuring unit?

The VIB-MMS® measuring unit is available in two versions. Version I measures 180 x 410 x 614 mm (L x W x H). Version II measures 180 x 410 x 555 mm (L x W x H). Both versions are designed for compact, space-saving installation in front of the dampening system.

The control panel measures 600 x 210 x 600 mm (L x W x H). The water dosage cabinet in standard version measures 400 x 200 x 600 mm (L x W x H). The overall system weight including the control panel is approximately 60 kg.

What are the dimensions of the optional throughput control units?

The VIB-SMW® throughput scale dimensions vary by capacity: up to 12.5 tph — 350 x 350 x 490 mm; up to 25 tph — 530 x 388 x 607 mm; up to 50 tph — 536 x 586 x 1,251 mm. The VIB-TS® volumetric throughput control mounts directly to the vibronet® discharge unit and requires no additional space.

What are the electrical requirements for VIB-MMS®?

VIB-MMS® operates at 120/230 V, 50/60 Hz, single-phase (L1/N/PE). The connected load is 0.3 kW. The system is pre-cabled with cables fixed at the measuring and dosing unit, fitted with plugs at the control cabinet. The standard cable length between the measuring/dosing unit and the control cabinet is 5 metres; longer cables are available on request.

What water connection and pressure does VIB-MMS® require?

VIB-MMS® requires a minimum water operating pressure of 3–6 bar, with the exact requirement depending on the litres per hour being dosed. Connection sizes are ½", ¾" or 1" according to the l/h dosed. Water must be filtered; a fine water filter and backwash water filter are available as options.

What temperature range does VIB-MMS® cover?

VIB-MMS® covers a product temperature measurement range of 0–55°C. This ensures reliable operation across all typical ambient and product conditions encountered in cereal and pulse processing.

What materials are used in the construction of VIB-MMS®?

The measuring unit is constructed from robust hygienic stainless steel and PVC. The measuring unit components include a temperature sensor, moisture sensor and hectoliter weight scale. The water dosage cabinet enclosure is stainless steel for wall mounting, with internal components including a solenoid valve, pressure reducer, control valve, water meter, flow meter and manual dosing valves. Standard materials are stainless steel, brass and PVC. The control panel enclosure is steel, painted RAL9003 high gloss, for wall mounting.

What does the VIB-MMS® control panel include in terms of outputs and interfaces?

The Siemens-powered control panel includes: an integrated colour touchscreen, menu-driven and multi-lingual operation, potential-free contacts, one analogue output (4–20 mA) and one impulse output. Optional remote control interfaces include Profibus, Profinet and Siemens sm@rt server. The panel is designed for wall mounting.

What options and extensions are available for VIB-MMS®?

VIB-MMS® offers a comprehensive range of options: integrated throughput measurement via VIB-TS® or VIB-SMW®; integrated temper time control VIB-SMC®; integrated fine water filter and backwash water filter; water dosage integrated directly into the vibronet® dampener water cabinet; dosage version for water with corrosive additives; heating unit integrated into the dosage unit; and remote control via Profibus, Profinet or Siemens sm@rt server (further fieldbus options available on request).

Can VIB-MMS® be integrated directly with the vibronet® dampener?

Yes. VIB-MMS® is designed to work seamlessly with the vibronet® vibration dampener. The water dosage unit can be integrated directly into the vibronet® water distribution unit for a space-saving and cost-effective installation. The optional VIB-TS® volumetric throughput sensor mounts directly to the vibronet® discharge unit with no additional space or maintenance required. The measuring unit is installed upstream of the dampener.

Can VIB-MMS® also be used with dampening systems other than vibronet®?

Yes. While VIB-MMS® integrates particularly efficiently with the vibronet® dampener, the water dosage unit can dose directly into any other dampening system. The measuring unit is installed in front of the vibration dampener or any other dampening system, making VIB-MMS® compatible with a wide range of existing installations.

Is there a simpler or more economical water dosage option available?

Yes. VIB-ECONO® is a manual water dosage unit available without housing for customers who require a straightforward, cost-effective dosage solution without the full automatic cabinet. It is available as part of the VIB-MMS® product range from vibronet®-Gräf GmbH & Co. KG.
